The Agreement

Terms of Service

Last updated 25 September 2026. By creating an account you agree to these terms.

The service

VineCheck lets a church build and send anonymous health surveys to its members and view aggregated results. It is provided from Australia and is currently in beta.

VineCheck is in beta

Features will change, break and occasionally disappear. Do not rely on VineCheck as your only copy of important data — export to CSV regularly. We will give reasonable notice of significant changes where we can, but during beta we cannot promise uptime, stability or that any particular feature will continue to exist.

Cost

VineCheck is free to use, with unlimited surveys and unlimited responses. It is supported by donations from those who believe in healthy churches. We are not obliged to keep it free forever, but if that changes we will tell existing churches well in advance and will not charge you without your agreement.

Your account

You need a Google account to sign in. You are responsible for who you give access to, and for keeping your own account secure. Tell us promptly if you think someone has gained access to your church's data.

Your responsibilities as a church

Your data

Your church's survey data belongs to your church. You can export it to CSV at any time. We hold it to run the service and handle it as set out in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell it and we do not use it to train machine learning models.

Our content

The standard question set, the platform and its design remain ours. You may use the questions to survey your own church. Please do not republish the question set as your own product.

Ending your use

You can stop using VineCheck and ask us to delete your church's data at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or where we are required to by law. If we shut the service down, we will give you reasonable notice and a chance to export your data.

No warranty, and limits on liability

VineCheck is provided as-is and as-available. To the extent the law allows, we exclude warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data. Nothing here excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded; where a statutory guarantee applies and can be limited, our liability is limited to resupplying the service.

Survey results are information to help you think, not professional advice. Decisions about your church remain yours.

Changes to these terms

We will update this page when things change, and change the date at the top. Continuing to use VineCheck after a change means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
